Q: How do I login to the GreenDriver course?

A: When you are enrolled in the GreenDriver program, a personalized invitation email is sent to you. This email contains the access instructions, your username, your password, and a link to the website to log in and begin the program. Please do not delete this email until you have completed the program and received your certification.

The username and password are case sensitive, so take care when entering them into the login page. If you enter them incorrectly, you will be prompted to try again.

Q: I’ve forgotten my password or username. What do I do?

A: If you still have the original GreenDriver Invitation email, you can find your username and password there. If you no longer have that email, or have changed your password from the originally provided password, you can create a new password by completing the following steps:

  1. Go to certification.greendriver.com
  2. On the Login page, click the “forgot password” link next to the Submit button.
  3. On the Password Reset page, enter your email address where indicated and click the Submit button. The email address entered must match the email address registered with GreenDriver.
  4. You will receive an email containing a link where you can create a new password. This email also includes your username.
  5. Once you’ve followed the link and created a new password, you can go back to certification.greendriver.com and login with your username and new password and launch the program.

Q: How long does it take to complete the GreenDriver program?

A: You should be able to complete the GreenDriver course and certification test in less than 90 minutes. The four main content sections take about 15 minutes each and the 25-question certification exam can take up to 20 minutes.

Q: Do I need to complete the GreenDriver program in one sitting?

A: No, you do not need to complete the GreenDriver program in one sitting. Your progress is being tracked as you move through the course, so you are free to logout at any time. The next time you login and launch the program, you will restart at the furthest point you reached. However, once you start the certification exam, you must complete it in one sitting. If you log out without completing the exam, you will have to restart the exam from the beginning the next time you log back in.

Q: How do I navigate through the GreenDriver program?

A: The GreenDriver program was designed to be very simple to navigate. Your primary method of navigation will be the Prev and Next buttons. When you first take the program, you move sequentially through the program from page 1 to the end. You are not able skip over content that you’ve not yet seen, so you can’t jump ahead in the program. You can, however, review content you’ve already seen by either clicking the Prev button to go back one page at a time or by selecting the appropriate Section Tab and then selecting the specific page you wish to revisit. As you move forward to a new page, the Next button is disabled until you’ve completed that page. When the Next button turns blue, you’re free to move ahead to the next page. Once you’ve completed all of the content sections of the program, you’re ready to start the certification exam. When you get to that point, simply follow the onscreen and audio prompts.

Q: What do I need to know to pass the GreenDriver certification exam?

A: All of the information needed to be able to pass the GreenDriver certification exam is taught in the GreenDriver course. If you paid attention during the course, you should have no problem passing the exam. The exam is “closed book”, meaning once you start the exam you cannot go back into the course to find the answer.

The passing grade is 80%, so you need to answer 20 out of 25 questions correctly to pass. If you do not pass the exam, the results page will show you which questions you answered incorrectly and include a link into the course where you can review the related content. If you did not pass, you must retake the entire exam. You can retake the exam at any time and as many times as needed until you pass. Once you pass, you’ll be able to print your GreenDriver certificate.

Q: How do I print my certificate after I complete the course and pass the certification test?

A: When you complete the course and pass the certification test, the page that displays your final score and questions missed also includes a link to view and print your certificate. Note that pop-blockers may interfere with the opening of your certificate. You can either disable your pop-up blocker, add "certification.greendriver.com" to the list of sites from which you allow pop-ups, or temporarily bypass the pop-up blocker by holding the CTRL  (or CTRL+ALT) key when clicking on the link.

If you exit the course without printing your certificate, you can still print it from your Driver Dashboard. On your Driver Dashboard page, the first page you see after you log in, a link to print the certificate will appear in the CERTIFICATION INFO section on the right side of the page once you've passed the course. You are no longer able to launch the course after you pass it.

Q: How do I get support if I have any issues accessing, taking, or completing the GreenDriver program?

A: Send an email to Support@greendriver.com and we will reply as quickly as possible. Standard support hours for GreenDriver are Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Central.
